Why Can't Successful Black Women Find A Man?

There have been many disscussions most recently relating to the panel discussion on Nightline and has a lot of Blacks and African Americans, especially, heated...

The real issue, or The Bottom Line, is "Saving The Black Family" as Hill Harper mentioned. The other male panelist mentioned that if we, as black women and men, are to find a "good" man or woman - we have to be that in which we are looking for. There are so many men that don't even look, sound or feel like "real men" anymore and the same can be said for a whole lot of women.

So many have become fed up and frustrated as a result of a lack of trust, cheating, non compromising partners and other reasons - which has led men (and women) to resort to developing intimate relationships with same sex partners, giving up hope, lowering their standards, dating outside of their race, opting for simple (and multiple) "booty calls", choosing to become so-called "Cougars" and "Sugar Daddies" and abstinance/celibacy altogether.

Let me say this: So many women and men have settled for "whatever" and have no standards when it comes to dating. They don't respect themselves and don't demand respect from their significant others, which has meant that "meaningful" relations have become insignificant over time. There are so many people out there that can have sex like dogs without having to respect their partner, be committed, love, nurture, care, build, be devoted and so forth with absolutely no strings attached.

The Bottom Line is that the present dating and marital circumstances that so many of us presently face are simply the end result of a society that has facilitated a lack of moral responsibility. We've opted to build our lives around bustling jobs and the lack of men in most homes, glorifying female independence (when that is out of the natural order of God), along with single family households that are broken and dysfunctional - along with accessive partying, drugs and drinking - that has altogether stripped the woman of her virtue and the man of his manhood.
