We have to have an honest discussion with ourselves about the moral pulse of our society. Either we do or don't want live responsibly. There is something wrong when we, as adults, take a back seat when there is a generation of young people that are living any kind of way and we take a nonchalant attitude about it...as if it's somebody else's problem. I do not support a lot of today's Hip Hop acts because, to me, they have raped the art aspects out of Hip Hop and left the industry bleeding with a black eye. If I had a young child in my home, I would not condone that child listening/looking at Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Rhianna or the like. There is something wrong with 7 year-old children emulating the sexual annotations like Beyonce. And coincidentally, isn't Beyonce the same one that the President of the United States chose to headline his inauguration dance and the First Lady allowed her two young daughters to attend the concert of? People...let's wake up!!! Billy Ray Cyrus has come out and publicly defending his daughter, Miley, doing a publicized lap dance. In fact, it was reported that he said that, "that's what girls her age do". That's crazy! It has also been reported that his younger daughter, a 10 year-old, is slated to debut a children's lingerie line and his wife is delighted about that?! We can't continue to facilitate the moral decay and expect to leave it for "somebody" else to clean up as if we have absolutely no responsibility in any of this madness. No...we can't have it both ways. It's either going to be "holiness" or hell...bottom line. I think that the reason why most adults aren't stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility to guide and direct today's youth is because deep down inside, they are part of the problem. Deep down inside, they like the vulgarity and decay.
